Organizing hits the red carpet!

So who knew how hip organizing is becoming! When celebrities are into it, you know it’s huge. I’ve been aware in recent years that professional organizing is a fast growing new business area but I didn’t realize how big it has become until I moved to LA. I recently made the big move and the first weekend I’m here I read that the Third Annual Los Angeles Organizing Awards were taking place with Sherri Shepherd of “The View” as host.

I think it’s awesome. The fellow in the photo is John Trosko who runs a professional organizing company in LA and is the creator of the OrganizingLA Blog. Lots of great info on the site.

You’ll notice KangaRooM Storage won many awards. Check them out! They are fast becoming my favorite organizing store. They don’t have a ton of product like the Container Store but they have some great ideas particulary for those of you tech lovers who have lots of computer stuff, gadgets, ipods, digital cameras, iphones, etc.

And a new product I found out about in the list of winners is Organize magazine. I’m surprised I didn’t know about them. I may have to consider a new magazine subscription but I’m down to just 2 magazines now that I get in the mail and not sure if I want to add more. Gotta keep things simple!
