Slim and Simple Desk Lamp

by Sasha on May 23, 2008

If I had money to burn I would totally buy this lamp. At $480 I’d rather finally get an iPhone but this lamp is my dream and I didn’t even know it until I saw it today on Apartment Therapy. It’s called the “Talak Lamp” by Artemide and is available on the YLighting website. By the way, YLighting is an amazing resource for beautiful, modern lighting. The stem is polished steel and the base and lamp are a matte white, powder coated finish. It would pair wonderfully with my desk and furniture. I love the slim profile of this lamp. Hopefully other designers will take note and we’ll see something like this at a more reasonable (at least for me) price point.

The light rotates 360 degrees and it moves up and down the stem. Because of the length, it gives off a more even diffused light since it’s not coming from one bulb source like most lamps. And the site claims it’s eco-friendly as well. A bonus, if it is.

I love this light too. It’s green because it’s a flourescent – only uses 13 watts. Thanks for posting.

Nice! Sleek and stylish. It would blend in so well and not cause clutter!

At Lightology, we have the Stilo desk lamp that offers a similar profile, light diffusion and energy efficiency, too! It doesn’t have all the features you love in the Artemide one, but it’s also 1/4 the price.
