About
Ode to simple was created to explore my passion for organization and creating the simple life. My organizational skills and home design ideas have been praised by my family but I always thought “hey, they’re my family, of course they are going to say good things.” However, the more non-family people I talked to, the more I realized, “I AM good.” Friends and family started to call me up, ask for advice, or have me over to their house to get them through their organizational dilemmas. What seems like common sense to me, or comes naturally to me, is actually quite difficult for many of you out there. So I decided to launch my own blog and share my ideas through ode to simple.
I grew up and started my career in the metro Detroit area of Michigan and within the last year moved to the sunny west coast of Los Angeles, California. I’m a professional in the commerical post-production industry and strive to bring my work and home life into harmony.
I would like this blog to be more than just giving you tips to tame the physical clutter around you, or how to better organize a closet. Ode to simple includes simplifying all areas of our lives (home, health, finance, mind, and more). I’ll share tips that already work for me and find new ones to explore to see what may work for you.
Topics I enjoy:
- Home design & decor
- Organizing
- De-cluttering
- Digital archiving
- Easy health tips
- Green living
- Simple design solutions for the home
- Easy travel
- Cable clutter
- Digital clutter
- New technology
- Basically all areas in our lives that can be streamlined, leading to a state of calm & peace of mind…
Thanks for reading!
